When we say RAWRRRR what comes to your mind?

Thunderous noise? Black and orange colors? The ferocious tiger?

Add a little bit of some of the above and what you get is a nicely blended mixture of people from Exabytes, who may appear to look fierce on the outside, but definitely gentle on the inside! Sheesh, now this is starting to sound like a chocolate ad!

Anyway, since this year is known as the year of the tiger from the Chinese zodiac calendar, the theme for the night was  “Unleash The Tiger In You”, and everybody was asked to dress up in black, orange, or black & orange – indicating the stripes and power of the tiger!

It was a great night @ Tong Hoi Seafood Restaurant, Penang. The food was simply mouth watering, and the OCs did an amazing job for pumping up the already happening night! The evening started with a welcoming speech by our CEO, Mr Chan Kee Siak. His speech was brilliant, inspiring each of us to work even harder for this year around, and more aggressive, as aggressive as the tiger!

The night kicked off with the Lucky Draw (round 1) session, where guests name were picked on random for fantastic prizes and giveaways.

However, the Grand Prize went to Mr Aien who won a 5D 4N trip for 2 to Shanghai China!

Congratulations to all the winners! 🙂

The night continued to heat up with games & activities while we indulged ourselves with large helpings of foods! They were 7 courses altogether, so you can imagine how our tummies were like, by the fourth serving!

The first game for the night was the Thread & Needle game. Representatives from each table were called out, and their sewing skills were put to test! Haha no lah. Participants were asked to insert the thread into as many needle holes as possible. The most number of needles with successfully inserted thread, wins the game!

This contest was won by Adeline’s table, who took back 10 packets of angpows to her team!

The game continued with the Follow Me game where representatives from each table were given a text of which they needed to act upon. It is something like the Whisper Down The Alley game, the game in which one person whispers a message to another, who then whispers it to a third person, and so on. Only this time, instead of whispering, participants needed to act instead of whisper according to the text given!

This contest was won by Adeline + Aien teams, who took back yet another 20 packets of angpows to their respective teams.

Hard work and unconditional dedication deserved to be rewarded well. Therefore, on the very same night, The Loyalty Award was also given to those who have worked hard into making Exabytes the leader in the web hosting industry thus far. The Loyalty Award was presented to two of our most faithful staffs in Exabytes, Mr TS Ooi and Mr KS Lim who have both served Exabytes for more than 5 years! Let’s give it up for the both of them! *woooooot!*

And of course, every award night is also a glamorous night. And everybody came with outfits that say, “I am dressed, to impress!” Acknowledging the effort, the company has reserved the Best Male & Female Outfits Award for the last.

The judges have decided, and the Best Male Outfit went to.. Mr Roger, for the second time in a row! Yes, he was also the best-dressed guy on our last Annual Dinner last year!

And the Best Female Outfit, went to… The Little Girl (KS Lim’s daughter actually)!

To wrap up this entry, here’s the portrait of our huge happy family together with their spouses! Thanks to all who have made this Annual Dinner a huge success!

Of course, not forgetting, the key people who made this successful event possible – the OCs! Job well done guys, here’s to the 5 of you (Vickson, Sharon, Jessica, Siew Hoon and KC Yeap), cheers! 😉

Wow, enjoyed reading this post! 🙂

Exabytes looks more like a family and less like a company and that is a great thing! Another nice thing is that you have all young employees; CEO Chang himself looks very young.

The heaviest girl is so cute! The baby in the last two pics is the cutest girl! )

I read about Ang Pow on Wikipedia (red envelope). This blog always adds something to my knowledge.

What's the deal with the needles and thread? It looks like a miniature of a deserted road with power lines.
